How we raise

Farm-raised, not warehouse-raised

Most store livestock travels through importers and wholesalers before it reaches you. Ours grows up a short drive away, in conditions we watch around the clock.

  • 1
Local well water, steady parametersRaised in the same kind of water New England hobbyists keep, so acclimation is gentle.
  • 2
Monitored fish roomTemperature, water changes and power are automated and sensor-watched, with backup power on site.
  • 3
Sold at a healthy sizeNothing leaves the farm until it is eating, colouring up and ready.
  • 4
Careful shipping or local pickupInsulated boxes, shipped Monday to Wednesday only, with seasonal heat packs. Local pickup in Groton by arrangement.
