High-grade Neocaridina shrimp
We keep small colonies of the Neocaridina colour lines that hobbyists actually look for: blue dream, black rose, carbon rili and a deep orange. They're the same species as the common cherry shrimp, but selectively bred for solid, even colour.
Why buy shrimp bred locally
- Shrimp handle a slow, short trip far better than days in importer and wholesaler tanks.
- Raised in soft New England water, so they're used to the conditions most local keepers have.
- Pickup in Groton by arrangement, or shipped Monday to Wednesday so they don't sit in a depot over the weekend.
Neocaridina shrimp near you
We're in Groton, Massachusetts. Local keepers can collect by arrangement: Groton and the Nashoba Valley are on our doorstep, Nashua and southern New Hampshire are about 20 minutes away, Lowell and the Merrimack Valley about 25, Worcester about 45 and Greater Boston about an hour. Looking for a shop instead? See our list of independent aquarium stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Before they arrive
Neocaridina want a cycled tank, GH around 6–8 and a stable pH near neutral. If you're on soft town or well water, read our guide to keeping shrimp in New England water first, or check your test-kit readings with our shrimp water checker.
Stores and clubs
If you run a fish store or aquarium club in Massachusetts or southern New Hampshire, tell us which colours sell for you. We plan our colonies around standing orders.
