Bucephalandra

Reserve or join the waitlist

Bucephalandra are small rheophytes from the streams of Borneo, grown attached to rock and wood. Many forms show blue or purple iridescence on their leaves. They grow very slowly, which is why emersed-grown, fully rooted pieces are valued.

Tie or glue the rhizome to hardscape and never bury it. Low to moderate light is plenty, and too much light invites algae on the slow-growing leaves.
