Cryptocoryne wendtii
Cryptocoryne wendtii, Wendt's water trumpet, is an aquatic plant from Sri Lanka named after the aquarist and writer Albert Wendt. It's one of the most robust and widely grown crypts. It's also very variable, with many named forms such as 'Tropica' and 'Mi Oya'.
It's easy to grow and spreads by runners. Its colour and leaf shape change with light and other conditions, so expect a newly planted crypt to look a little different as it settles in.
