Music seed garlic

Reserve or join the waitlist

Music is a porcelain hardneck and one of the most popular garlics for cold climates. Each bulb holds a handful of very large cloves with thick, easy-to-peel wrappers, and it keeps well.

Plant each clove pointed end up, about 2 inches deep and 6 inches apart.

Planting Music in Massachusetts

Plant from mid-October to early November, a few weeks before the ground freezes, and mulch with straw once it starts to freeze. Harvest in July when the lower leaves brown, then cure the bulbs for 2–3 weeks. Our garlic planting guide has the details. For a second porcelain, see German White.
