Black Rose is a solid black Neocaridina davidi, glossy in good light, and one of the darker Neocaridina colours. It contrasts well with bright moss and pale stone.

Black lines can throw some brown or blue-tinged offspring. Keep the darkest adults as breeders. Don't mix them with other colours, or the line drifts back toward wild brown.

Keeping Black Rose shrimp in New England water

Like every Neocaridina, it needs a cycled tank, GH around 6–8 and a stable pH near neutral. Most Massachusetts tap and well water is soft, so check yours with the shrimp water checker or read our New England water guide. Pickup in Groton by arrangement, or shipped Monday to Wednesday.
