"Rili" shrimp have coloured heads and tails with a clear section in between. Carbon Rili does this in black: a dark head and tail, with a translucent band you can see through.

Rili patterns vary from shrimp to shrimp, and the clean, sharply divided ones are the prized ones. Expect some offspring to come out mostly black or mostly clear.

Keeping Carbon Rili shrimp in New England water

Like every Neocaridina, it needs a cycled tank, GH around 6–8 and a stable pH near neutral. Most Massachusetts tap and well water is soft, so check yours with the shrimp water checker or read our New England water guide. Pickup in Groton by arrangement, or shipped Monday to Wednesday.
