Yellow Neocaridina range from pale lemon to a deep goldenback yellow, often with a lighter stripe running down the back. They glow against dark wood and black substrate.

Yellow is one of the easiest colours to keep true. Cull the palest juveniles and the colony stays bright.

Keeping Yellow Goldenback shrimp in New England water

Like every Neocaridina, it needs a cycled tank, GH around 6–8 and a stable pH near neutral. Most Massachusetts tap and well water is soft, so check yours with the shrimp water checker or read our New England water guide. Pickup in Groton by arrangement, or shipped Monday to Wednesday.
