Boa is a Taiwan Bee-type pattern with a very broad stripe down the back that breaks up into a finer pattern over the head. Black Boa has a pure, deep black base, and some lines carry a metallic gold back stripe or a golden base colour.

Like other Taiwan Bees, Boa comes from selectively bred bee shrimp (Caridina cantonensis). There's no published grading standard for the pattern, so breeders judge it on how wide, clean and even the stripe is.

Care matches other Taiwan Bees: soft, acidic water around pH 5.4–6.2, GH 4–6 and KH 0–1, at 72–77 °F.
