Cardinal Sulawesi shrimp

Cardinal shrimp (Caridina dennerli) come from the Malili lakes of Sulawesi, Indonesia. They're red with white spots and pale legs. Unlike bee shrimp, they need warm (about 80–84°F), alkaline water and a mature tank with plenty of biofilm.

They're among the most demanding shrimp in the hobby, and best kept in a species-only tank.
