Golden Bee shrimp
Golden Bee is a bred form of bee shrimp (Caridina cf. cantonensis). Its shell is snow white over slightly orange flesh, which gives the shrimp a golden cast. Nobody seems sure where the line came from or who first bred it, and it's relatively uncommon in the hobby.
Closely related white-shelled bee shrimp are sold as Snow White; the two names overlap between sellers. Selection over generations increases how solid and opaque the white is.
Adults reach about 1.5 inches, with females larger than males. They are more sensitive than Neocaridina: keep them in soft water, around pH 5.8–7.4, GH 4–6 and KH 0–4, at 62–76 °F.
